How much of the experience and results of our anthropological research reaches the public? Far too little in our eyes. We want to change the cycle of invisibility. Supported by hundreds of international colleagues like Judith Butler, David Harvey and Noam Chomsky, in Turkey, more than 1300 academics have signed a petition calling for an end to the violence in the Southeast. Now Turkish prosecutors have started to investigate these academics.
How should one live in the city? In the context of the conference, the organising team wants to approach the ‘good life in the city‘ through three theoretical aspects: (1) conflicts around the ‘good’ city, (2) social creativity and (3) subject formation. The conference will take place from 16 to 18th June 2016 at LMU Munich and will be held bilingual (English/German). Deadline for abstracts is the 20th of January 2016.
